Greetings NCC Families!
Welcome to all of our new and returning NCC families. We’re so excited to get to know you and partner with you to make this a special year for our children!
NCC is a close-knit community with nearly 300 students and their families. The school has a terrific set of professionals, including 11 teachers and awesome support staff who help the school run smoothly – specialists, para-educators, front office staff, counselors, cooks, custodial staff, and of course, our wonderful principal, Mrs. Wallace-Kimbrue.
Your vibrant NCC Parent Teacher Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting the collaboration and engagement of families and community in the education of our children. The PTA works closely with staff to strengthen our community and enhance the educational experience for every student at NCC. This year, the PTA will organize and fund virtual cultural arts, bingo and trivia nights, Math Night, STEM night, after school tutoring, instructional support, teacher appreciation, and much more. During a normal school year, the PTA also funds some wonderful in-school programming, such as the Artists in Residence program, STEAM Day, The Big Draw, and many other enriching opportunities.
Join the PTA – Your Voice Counts! Your PTA membership benefits your children and shows them that you are committed to their school and education. Membership entitles you to vote on PTA issues, determine how resources are allocated, and hold a PTA office. We welcome your membership and active involvement. You can join the PTA by visiting the NCC MemberHub to pay by credit card, or you can contact our Treasurer to mail in a check. Note that PTA membership dues must be renewed annually.
Volunteer. We have many exciting events planned for the year, but we cannot make them happen without your help. There are numerous ways to get involved and we hope you will consider volunteering for one of our open positions. This is a super fun way to get to know other families at NCC and learn what’s really going on at the school!
Donate. The PTA relies in the generosity of our families to fund the many programs we offer throughout the year. We’ll kick off our annual Feed the Bulldog Campaign in late August. Our giving target is $20,000 this year and we hope you’ll do what you can do to help us reach our goal. 100% of every dollar collected goes to enhance your children’s experience at NCC and is tax-deductible.
Stay Connected. Don’t miss out on important messages! Here are the key ways the we share information:
- Join NCC's MemberHub – The NCC MemberHub has replaced the NCC listserv and is the best way for families to stay connected and be sure to not miss out on important information.
- NCC PTA Closed Facebook page – Request permission to join our closed Facebook page. The PTA updates this regularly with helpful news. https://www.facebook.com/groups/NCCPTA/
- PTA Website – Visit NCCPTA.org for details on upcoming activities, PTA contacts, Parent Resources, and other helpful information.
- NCC Directory – NCC PTA works with A to Z Directories to produce a school-wide directory each year. Each member of the PTA gets a copy, which is a great resource that provides contact information for NCC families.
